E46 330d Meyle shocks any good?
So the Meyle wishbones & RCABs are reckoned to be pretty good, but has anyone used or know what Meyle shock absorbers are like?
I need some new front shocks for my 330d, Meyle ones are going for £50ea all in, (actually it looks like I can get a pair for £84! )Or its Monroes for £60-70ea (Boge are too expensive @ ~£192 the pair) TIA Last edited by Assimilator1; 10-20-2012 at 02:06 PM. |

Myle makes dampers? In any case, Bilstein dampers come with a lifetime warranty and Bilstein is a known Company for selling solid dampers. As for the type of Bilstein damper they make a HD or heavy duty damper that is just marginally stiffer than stock, and then they make a sport shock that is valved tighter (with a shorter piston length to work wth lowering springs) to provide more stability at higher cornering speeds; of course, this sport damper will transmit more road irregularities through the chassis. If a stiff ride is not agreeable, choose the HD dampers.

I don't want a stiffer ride, it's too stiff as it is
![]() Unfortunately Bilstein shocks are £188 a pair vs £84 for Meyle! Anyone else on Meyle? Last edited by Assimilator1; 10-20-2012 at 02:08 PM. |
