Keeping wheels clean

I find accumulated brake dust on my rims and it seems to collect rather fast. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening so fast? Should I worry about lookin at the breaks for problems there?

Does it happen more on one wheel than the others?
This can signify a stuck caliper. If not then you just have the dusty, but very well performing, OEM pads.
You should get a lower dust pad. I recommend hawk hps. Mod bargains has the cheapest price that I know of.

About those Hawk HP pads, I had an opposite experience. Some years ago, I bought a Wilwood 6 piston brake kit for my TSX. You would think ANY 6 piston caliper would snap your head off but with those Hawk pads, it was not getting the job done. I switched to my tried and true Porterfield R4-S pad and now I got the stopping power I was seeking. These pads are gentle on the rotors, they don't dust anywhere close to stock pads, and they (Porterfields) stop great. BTW, I'm using this compound on my 380 6-pot Brembos now, and wow wee, it's like throwig a boat anchor out the window when you really want to stop.

It actually seems fairly even on both sides, ill check in tithe low dust break pads see if that's something that would be better for the car! Otherwise it's not so bad shinin' those alloys

It's BRAKES.

With my hps pads, they don't bite as good as my original pads, but I'm willing to Bettye stopping distance is the same.
