I'll be there with my rocket red shirt on.

So, how are you planning on getting to the track?

Oh, and here's the Formula 1 thread, try in there.

I'm here in Austin, staying in the SoCo neighborhood. It was easier to rent a house on HomeAway than to get a hotel room.

I'm just going to the track via COTA transportation from the park and ride (taking a bus there). Any locals with a parking pass want to pick up a hitchhiker in the SoCo neighborhood?

General admission gives a lot of excellent viewing options. I had seats at turn 4 but I spent some time in the turn 12 grandstand-right at the end of the straight and it was great. If I spring for bleachers again next year it will be there.

I live in Austin, had great experience with the shuttles last year and I expect no less this year. I think they have shuttles from downtown so it probably isn't too far from your hotel.

Last year we sat at T12 but we sprung for PSLs this year so we are on T15 and don't need to worry about rushing for tickets. We just had the Rolex Grand Am race this past weekend and it was fantastic...counting the days until November!
