Tires on ZHP

I just purchased the 10 spoke 18" rims that come on the ZHP. I have 17" now (in great shape w/brand new tires on them). I don't want a really low profile (i have 205/50/17 now) and wanted to keep the same height on the new tires. Does anyone know what tires come on these rims from the factory?

Thanks

zhp wheels are a huge downgrade in terms of performance, they weigh 30 pounds each.
Do you really wanna get bent over and spanked by a civic?

I really could care less how fast the car goes. I drive it 1-2x time/month anyway. They are not oem rims, they are the 10spoke from ecs tuning. I think they weigh 26lbs ea. My 17" factory rims weigh 23lbs so I don't think it will make a difference to me. If I was young, maybe I would care but right now I get lapped by old ladies in walkers! I don't care how long it takes me to get there, I just want to be comfortable and look good doing it! You feel me young pup?!!

just curious - is anyone running 18x8 on an XI and what size tires do you have? I am looking for something roughly the same height as my 205/50/17's. I live in upstate NY where there are potholes and I don't really want to worry about damaging the rims on low pro tire.

I was thinking 225/48/18's or 235/40/18's but I am really not sure.

Thanks

Rick: Did you notice any difference in the ride (good or bad)? I am assuming no mods needed to be done to fit these tires on an XI since we have the extra room, correct? Thanks for responding.

An xi with 18s will look like a rav4. You have to lower it a bit if you want to make it look right.

205/50/17 and 235/40/18 have roughly the same overall diameter and revs per mile.

Isn't there a way to recalibrate the computer system to match any size tire you put on your vehicle? what do these kids do that put 19" and 20" rims on these cars?

No there is not. The kids that do that either have tires that might as well be painted on or have speedometers that are way off.

Yes it's possible with a GT1.

I ended up putting 225/45/18's on 18x8's. The rims that I purchased were from ECS and had a 35mm offset. I ended up getting 5 rims shipped to my house for just under $500. (thought it would be nice to have a backup just in case)

The only reason I am putting this follow post is I see similar questions asked a lot. Bottom line is this - if you have the $$$ purchase new rims w/a 35mm offset (no spacers needed). It's close enough to a square set up.

The handling and ride quality are great. It acually looks even better. This is the first time I have ever purchased a/m rims for any vehicle and I am truly glad that I did. The gaps, stance - it looks great from any angle.

So for anyone asking about spacers and what size tires to put on - here is my 2 cents.
