How can I drain my fuel tank?
I suspect bad gas as the culprit to my off and on sputtering engine problem. I would like drain my gas tank and start over with a new batch.
Any ideas? Thanks. Pauly |

Unless you have a reason to think you've put bad gas in it - more likely your fuel filter is clogged or the pump is on its way out. Or it's vacuum rather than fuel related. Find a post by jfoj starting something like "Save yourself over $200....". Follow the links in his signature.

That post Wolrab mentions is in my sig. Link #3. Trust me... you probably don't have bad gas.
I know a guy in New Jersey that does though. Pretty stinky if you ask me!

Thanks for your replies. Yes. I agree not that I do not have bad gas. Just installed new feul pump and filter since I had bought them months ago for this 189K mile car, and never installed them. Still searching. Still runs poorly with Maf sensor unplugged, It is an intermittent sputtering after the engine warms up. sometimes it's just a barely noticeable rough idle and sometimes the engine runs super rough- like about 2 cylinders aren't firing. I sprayed around the vacuum lines with brake cleaner and no change in the rough idle. I'm starting to think I have a couple of failed coil packs. I got my codes read at AutoZone (Hey, at least it's free). Will amend this post later when I find them. I'll look below the sig. I have seen that sig with the link before and will check it out.
