FS: Garmin Nuvi 50LM

Hi, All.

I am selling my Garmin Nuvi 50LM. The unit is in pristine shape. I bought this unit in November or December of last year so it's just around a year old. This unit is equipped with all the US maps and has free lifetime map updates that you upload from Garmin's website via USB. I'm also including a TomTom carrying case.

I believe I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $250-$300.

I'll be completely honest with you. You are NOT going to get anyone willing to pay $150 for your nuvi 50LM. For starters, even when it was originally released, it was never $250-300. Added to that is the fact that you can purchase a brand-new one for as little as $80-100. Amazon & Best Buy both have it for $99.99

That price is not for refurbished units, but, again, for a brand-new units. Even Sears, which is usually/typically at the higher-end of the pricing spectrum, has it for approximately the same price (on sale through 11/26 @ $98.99, after the sale ends @ $109.99. It would be wise to (very seriously) reconsider your asking price...to something closer to $60-70, as that's the price range used ones can be found for on Craigslist. I'm not trying to put you, or your asking rice, down...I'm only trying to pass on helpful/useful information that would prevent you from selling it should you keep it at the price you are currently asking.

Thanks very much for the response, Panther. I actually made a big typo (well, really, a big ERROR) - I meant $150-$200 (I'm pretty sure I paid $180 for it or so). I have no idea what I was thinking. Admittedly, I didn't check what new units were going for these days. Sorry, guys - I wasn't trying to purposely screw anyone. Big oversite on my part. Again, I apologize.

Price reduction to $80 + shipping (carrying case included).

No apology needed, as it's a mistake anyone could have made. Just glad someone, be it myself, or another person, caught it before you started receiving idiotic (ie. people cussing you out for trying to rip them off...lol) comments from people. Good luck in selling it, as many people can use, and need, them (including me, as I just bought a nuvi 50LM from Best Buy yesterday).

1) I may have to return it anyway...even though could REALLY use it...as I have other financial things needing my attention, and I just found out a few minutes ago that those things have just taken a serious) turn for the worse, meaning, I need all the money I can gather, ASAP.

2) In regards to your "screw-up", trust me...I probably know more about "screw-ups" than the average person.

I'll just have to wait to get a GPS until some point in the future...hopefully sooner, rather than later.
