My OCD for new wheels is driving me nuts

OK. So the plan is to purchase a new set of wheels for my '04 330Cic this winter.

18" staggered. Currently I have the OEM Style 68s on the car. They are already sold to a fellow board member just waiting for delivery

I am obsessing about wheel weights. I know the M68s are quite light ~20 lbs each. All the 18s I am looking at weigh between 24-27 lbs with the exception of the Sportline CS.16 wheels from ModBargains which also weigh ~ 20lbs!

My problem with the Sportline's is that they are 8.5" & 9.5" and would be a small stretch for 225 & 255 tires. I don't like the stretch look at all. Or would it be much of a stretch? Does anyone have pics of this setup, 225/40/18 & 255/35/18 on 8.5" & 9.5" wheels? Can you post some pics?

I know the ZHP style 135 wheels are heavy as well, so has anyone gone from the heavier ZHP wheels to lighter wheels and felt a noticeable impact or vice versa the M68s to heavier wheels?

Am I obsessing for nothing, will the difference be noticeable? I know that measured performance would be effected by heavier wheels, but I am more concerned with perceived feel of ride and handling.

My head is going to explode!

you should be fine, I used to run the same set up and the tires are not that stretched.

That will be a very small, barely noticeable stretch.
