Muffler purchase

Was gonna buy this for a better drone. Thoughts? There's a YouTube video with sick resonators and this muffler on his e46 and it was very clean!

Yea could work to get rid if drone.. I had it on my car as well for a bit.. Til I decided I wanted louder so I went with a muffler delete.. It makes hardly a sound.. But u could be right, with the resonators off could sound better.. Post up a clip when u get it done!

Do you think this will give more of a deep tone and for sure! Isn't like 25 to install? Lol

first of all this is a universal muffler meaning: no one knows what it will sound like. it's made for anything so it probably won't sound good or fit well on your car.
it's also like $50 so expect it to rust away within a couple years. the exhaust system is the single most likely part to rust on a car. that and suspension components. they both get all the crap from the road.

What are you trying to do? Better drone? What does that mean? No one wants drone.

I typed it wrong.. I want an even deep tone in the sound..

That muffler should be fine. It might not be as loud as you want. It's going to be similar to the original bmw muffler with maybe a tad louder sound. There's really no way to tell because its a universal muffler.
I'd also recommend painting it if its steel.
If its aluminum or stainless you'll be good.

I bought stainless steel pipe and found a tail pipe that i liked and cut the original back box out and fabricated the pipe and tail pipe to fit and made hangers and so on! It sounds amazing! Not to loud thats its uncomfortable and not to quiet, all though ido get quiet a lot of over run. Does sound great though

just spend $500 on a used eisenmann muffler like i did, its hand made in germany and is great for our german cars

Or spend $399 and get the Highline Tuning Muffler. Really nice clean/deep sound, especially at 2000-3000 RPM during acceleration.

For the price its great. Also got mine installed for $60.

I ended up getting the magnaflow. However, will it just fit right on? Amazon said it would fit my car but when I look under the car, it looks like they're going to have to do some pipe adjusting

Our 323 has a single pipe from the muffled to resonator.
Where the newer 2001-2005 e46 all have two pipes.

Make sure you buy one that's made specially for 1999-2000 e46 or you gonna have to do more work.

I checked with amazon before purchasing and it. Do you have tips? Got any pictures?

I dont have a muffler. Just one Y shaped pipe
