Ground control coilovers!!!!!!!
Here is the thing. I know I know, i called ground control and they said to me that the regular e46 kit wont fit the Xi but guess what i did!!!!!!! I bought the kit. Hey it fits. Still need some tweaks here and there but im happy with the results. The car feels great. Its lowered all the way on front, rear is half way. I do not have rear install pics but its the same as regular e46. That is with stock shocks. The only modification this kit need is
1, longer enclosed sleeve, i already called ground control and they dont have it. 2. smaller strut mount 3. Short travel shock absorber shaft Thats for the front only, the rear is perfect. With this you are able to lower you car also put it back to stock height in no time. In the meantime i will let the spring to settle and then readjust. I hope this help!!!!!!! Its a lot better than buying some h&r or eibach pro kit. Any questions im willing to help Last edited by jony787; 12-16-2012 at 10:10 AM. |

Ground Control is a piece of sh!t company. I wouldn't trust them to do anything correctly.
I ended up doing all the R&D on their "xi" adjustable camber plates for them. They promised me they had "sold a bunch" of their kits specifically for the xi. Lies. They didn't fit. And ended up just shipping a bunch of parts so I could figure it out myself. I told them I'd like to be compensated for doing their R&D for them (like Dinan does). The next day they increased the price of the xi plates by $100 on their site when they figured out which parts I used and which I sent back. |

Okay, I was wondering when this post would hit? ^^ Bam!
About that brand name, it would absolutely have the rep that Kubica hit on. I was waiting to be certain. He has direct experience where I researched the death out of this, long ago and read some nasty bits concerning that brand. Not really a fan of any coil-over solution now. But hey, it's your ride and may be a good deal to mob around for the bucks? I read these stupid forums too much.

Coilovers update
Just updating the post. Coilovers still installed, drove from NC to FL and back with no issues, the ride feels great so far. New 18" ZHP rims, the tire and rims just filled the gap that was bother me on front. now the car look and feels great. No issues with Ground Control, i will recommend if you are planning to use this suspension setting, make sure that your shocks are in good condition!!!!!!!!!!! Question please let me know

Do they let you raise the car high enough to get stock height or higher?
It's an interesting solution for people with broken springs. You could then get shorter / longer 2.5" or more appropriate rate springs from anywhere to adjust the handling. |

Yes sir, you can rise the car close to stock height. I didnt try it yet. But there is a lot of adjustment to play with!!!

Update!!!! This is the new setup. I change the stock strut mounts for custom and the drop was almost 1 1/2 " more than last time so problem solved. For details please pm. If you are afraid to cut here and there this mod is not for you lol. Cheers!!!!!!
