Talking Johal E32's BMW 323i Touring/Wagon build thread

I won't bore you guys with detail so, I will let the pictures talk..

Picked up a E46 wagon with three pedals, Bilsteins, Sport package, and a Dinan exhaust.

Red E36 is my cousins. They are just a teaser

At this point, I had given the car a thorough detail. Oil service from BMW (79.99 special going on at the time), front lic plate delete strip, and new headlight lenses.

Threw in some LED lic. plate bulbs

Then over the next 4 months..

Got some 18 inch, staggered BBS LM reps for the wagon. Along with REAL BBS caps
Euro Plates
545i short shifter
Inspection II (including all new fluids)
New lower radiator hose w/ temp sensor
Matte black vinyl roof
Deleted the sunroof rails

Next up:
Brushed aluminum trim
Maybe A zhp shift knob..
Maybe some touring specific HR lowering springs (Currently it has HR springs for a non-sport model..)
And, possibly a second resonator delete to make the exhaust louder

I am happy with the interior. Only mod it has is the red sharpie'd needles..

Super clean. Brushed aluminum trim will really tie the whole car together.

Thanks! I hope the trim will really improve the car as well.

OEM Bosch xenons. It has AL headlight lenses though, I bought them from ECS, and they came in Bosch packaging. I read online that AL is a subsidy of Bosch, so I guess they are the same thing.

Here's what I did:

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...8671&highlight

It's one of my favorite mods and saves over 1 mpg at highway speeds.

yep!

I noticed a 1.5 mpg gain. And IMO the car looks more agressive without them.

You think so? I think the wheels looks off with no center caps.. I wanted some red/gold BBS caps, but I got a sweet deal on these real BBS caps so I bought them, installed them and I kind of liked the look over no center caps.

Updates on the car:

ZHP shift knob has been purchased and installed
Brushed aluminium trim has also been purchased and installed.
Sadly, I have no decent pictures of it

I will take you up on that. I'll send you a text one of these days, and we should take some pictures with Ervin and Eric as well. It should be a nice little E46 orgy

Gotcha. I wouldn't have bought these, but I got all 4 for only 55 shipped, and they are real.

Maybe I'll pass 'em on to someone else and just wrap the blank caps in CF or something like that. The wheels don't look right with just plain jane black caps IMO.

I am even considering some new wheels, but don't want to spend any un-necessary money on it.. lol. Other times I just want to sell this damn thing and get something newer, bigger, faster and more comfortable. An E39 fits the bill (even though it is older), but IDK..

UPDATES:

Alternator took a **** on me (it was the bearings).. So I swapped it for a new one, with a new voltage regulator. Changed out the pulleys and idler roller thing as well. The car seems to be rock solid other than that. Perhaps a new throttle cable in the future, my gas pedal is heavy and resists a lot..

Maybe I will get a M-tech front end this summer.. I can get it for around 550 shipped for everything (all OEM BMW), just needs paint. That price even includes the brake ducts!
