What can I say!!! Police: Man choked girlfriend with his dreadlocked hair..

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - A Portland man is facing charges after police said he choked his girlfriend with his dreadlocked hair.

Officers were called out to the 3200 block of Southeast 22nd Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Monday to a report of a domestic assault.

The woman provided police with a good description of the suspect and officers canvassed the neighborhood and found him.

Caleb Grotberg, 32, was taken into custody and now faces charges including assault, menacing, kidnapping and strangulation.

The victim was taken to a Portland hospital for treatment to numerous injuries. Police said they are not considered life-threatening.

Grotberg is set to be arraigned in court Tuesday.

Police said domestic violence crimes in progress should be reported to 911. There are 24-hour resources available for victims of domestic violence on the Portland Women's Crisis Center Line at (503) 235-5333 or 1-888-235-5333.

yes...compare how many people died from dreadlock choking in britain to the US.britain has a ban on high capacity dreadlocks btw and they had 0 fatalities as a result of violent dreadlock attacks. clearly these facts demonstrate a dreadlock ban will result in fewer incidents.

No, the problem is the waiting period. Several years to get dreadlocks is outrageous.
