Angel eyes that can turn off?
Who sells LED angel eyes for the e46 that can be turned off? I found some on ebay that claimed to be able to but I'd rather buy from Umnitza or another sponsor. PS sorry if this has been asked but when I did search I didn't find anything.

Turned off in what regards? Through a switch so you have control?

Use a DDM Tuning relay harness and take out the fuse; they will turn off.
Alternatively, if you want to switch the angel eyes on and off from inside the car, add a switch in series with the trigger wire that turns the angels eyes on when your car is on. A switch will be like $2 from radioshack. This is also using a DDM Tuning relay harness. Last edited by mkodama; 01-24-2013 at 09:06 PM. |

I've wired in a switch so I can turn mine off whenever I like from my drivers seat.

it involved a little work, and I don't remember if I have any photos from it anymore. basically you buy some 20-22 gauge wire and extend the signal wire for the relay to a switch inside the car, and back out to the relay. My switch needed a ground for the LED so I used one of the E-brake mounting bolts and an eyelet on the ground wire. I ran it in through the rubber boot in the passenger footwell area, just used a sharp pick to poke a small hole in an unused nipple of it. then under the dash to the center console coming through the radio/shifter area. EDIT: heres my switch. http://www.wiringproducts.com/conten..._switches.html

Yep basically.
Wire up exactly as per normal. I.e. wire up the trigger wires to the ignition wire in the ecu, and to the footwell light. then just wire in a switch inbetween the trigger wires. Really quite simple.

I made my own XD just buy a switch from RadioShack, put it where you want in the car and run a wire from the red with yellow dot wire to the switch and run the other one out to the angel eyes.
DONE! If I had pictures I'd show you but I have none at the moment. |

All you need is a switch, 6' of 16g copper multi-stranded wire, a coat hanger, some electrical tape, 2 female space connectors, and a 1/2" drill or dremel.
Total work - 20 minutes Total cost - $5 including switch. Run an extension to the primary trigger into the switch, run the wire from the switch back out to the ECU, mount the switch through the hole, done.
