Free weight dips? I'm in! I'll let DylloS post his best, then I'll go. I'll shoot to double whatever his number is.

Yeah I think free weight is probably the best way to do it.. otherwise you'll have people doing it with no weight, others with weight.. and then it just puts it all over the place. I have to imagine 25 would be LOOOOOOOW for someone like you

Honestly bodyweight dips are really easy for me, I start my drop set at 25 reps. It would be more of a challenge to see who can dip their body weight + weight.

I honestly thought this would be a contest to see who could PlastiDip the most car parts.

I've never gone for a max number of dips. I perform sets with 70 lbs. of extra weight. I'm guessing that I can do 50+ with my own body weight. Right now it's an unknown.

I know that I can do about 90 stict push-ups in a minute, and more than 100 in one set.

How many reps are you doing at 70lbs? I can usually rip off 15 at 50lbs, then about 10-8-8-7 after that. Probably going to step up the weight soon.

Sets of 15 usually. I generally do sets of moderate weight. Dips are more of a finisher for me because I usually do them after I'm burnt from front squatting and have exhausted myself from heavy military presses (..my triceps are fried after pressing).

Some of the numbers and workouts you post up simply astound me. I really hope that some day I'll be in the same level of intensity / range of weights. I go to basic training this summer so I'm channeling my workouts towards endurance come this spring. Only a couple more months of trying to go heavy!

I just voted now, 15-25, I've done 15 as my first set after the rest of my chest workout, not sure what my max would be "fresh". Leg day tomorrow maybe I'll give this a shot.

Not sure if this is a requirement but I'm 5'8" 200 lbs

I'll do ring dips tomorrow and post a video. I think they're a bit harder but I have no access to a good regular dip station. I'll try to make sure my form is good but I may end up kicking at the end a bit lol.

What's "strict" form? Full arm lock to what, 90 degree elbows?

For dips....

.....at least going from straight arms, to 90-degree parallel or deeper if you like a deeper dip. I don't know that there is any way to fully cheat a dip, but none of that back arching/momentum stuff.

90 degree elbows, elbows tucked in nice and close to torso, full elbow lock in upright position, no swinging or using your torso to promote travel.
