Ski Pass through SUB non HK System

Hey guys I just picked up a HK ski pass sub for my vert and put it in just for sake of the door but now Im thinking of hooking the sucker up. Anyone done this before? Can it be wired direct to the system or will I need a small amp? Any advise would be great.

Thanks

I assume you are referring to the OEM HK subwoofer?

It is certainly possible but spending the time to wire, amp it properly and get it installed would just not be worth it. It is a high excursion paper midbass speaker. Just not worth the cost and time spent unfortunately.

I agree. It's totally not worth it. It doesn't have the low bass notes that you crave. I took mine out because it doesn't give me that distinguishment between bass, mids and treble. Just sell it on ebay and get an 8" subwoofer setup. Even a small 6.5 subwoofer setup would be better.
