HPF and unlocking the AEM

I was going to take my car to Portland this summer to get a warranty computer tweak on HPF's dyno. Since that doesn't seem possible now, how can we get our AEM's unlocked so a local turner can do the job?

Has he done it 'remotely' for you or you had to ship yours there?
Did he keep the actual maps had on it or he basically erased everything and remapped?
I'm at the other end of the world and don't really feel like shipping it...

Did you have this done pretty recently? I have tried emailing John several times for help with unlocking my AEM but have not received any response.

Standard JRR service (reminds me a bit of the Seinfeld Soup Nazi -- treat customers with such indifference they come back begging for more)... I used to have decent luck getting him on AIM, but don't know if that is still the case (or what his handle is).

It is standard as I am only one guy and try to sift through 50+ emails a day, all while trying to get the actual work done that pays the bills in between. I haven't been charging anyone to unlock their ECUs so I just get them done as I can.

I am pretty sure I got everyone unlocked that has emailed me thus far. No need to send anything anywhere.

Hang tight.... there will be a plug n play EMS system soon that will be compatible, you'll be able to ditch that HPF unit and clunky harness.

Seems like just yesterday.. well technically almost 2 years ago.. I first heard that.

But in all seriousness I hear the AEM Infinity is getting closer and closer to release.

Seems like every single person who does this, sells the kit or their cars.

I'd like to get my AEM unlocked as well. Is there a way to do this without shipping the ecu?
