Mounting Amp to Back Seat

I have a coupe with the fold down rear seats and was thinking of mounting my amp to the back of one of the fold downs. Does anyone know what the seat backs are made of and can they support the weight approx 8-10lbs.

Any suggestions on whether I should try to rig up a support bracket of some sort or can I go directly into the back of the seat? The last thing I want is for the mounting screws or bracket to tear off and leave big holes in the seat back.

I am not sure what they are made of, but I have my JL 1000/1v2 mounting on my passenger seat back. It's been on there for about 4 months with no issues yet...

My roommate has his amp mounted to the back of the rear fold down seats. As long as you provide yourself enough extra cable length to allow the movement of different positions, you should be okay. And to answer your question, I believe there is some sort of plastic or metal underneath that fabric. The back of mine is metal.
