look eh, dont see how u can judge a coilover from that picture. the main problem with "cheap" coilovers are the shocks, sure u might be right, but cant knock it til someone tries it out

If they had an extra 0 on the price tag and a KW sticker on them I guarantee you wouldn't have posted that.

Lol, I am very critical. In that case, I would call them outrageously priced pieces of shite.

Either way, it's really hard to make good suspension. And it is really easy to just throw together some cheap parts and make totally crappy suspension. At $300 for coilovers, there is no way there could be any bit of quality. Just look at at set of H&R lowering springs for an E46. They are around $220 just for the springs. A single Bilstein Sport strut is around $220 as well. So with 4 springs, and 1 strut, you are already spending way more money than that set of coilovers. Those coilovers should be more expensive as they should have a lot more work involved with making them such as researching how strong each part needs to be, the factor of safety, testing ideal spring rates with the car they are being installed on, etc...

From personal experience, something that is too good to be true usually is. I have learned the hard way with my suspension as well as all the lighting modifications on my car. I went cheap the first time, realized how crappy everything was and that I essentially downgraded my car, and then having to spend even more money replacing it with nicer parts.

I'm willing to bet money that those coilovers will perform horribly and last only a very short time.

well... apparently there is no updates here yet, the VW guys decided to try instead of judge for the price... this is what they came up with: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4416626

btw, according to my buddy the OP values only good quality stuff for his car ,so he decided to try them and gave the coilovers thumbs up... Anybody here decided to try them?

Those look dangerous. I just put my coils in and I tell you what. I have a whole new car. I can do 1/2 block burnouts on demand and hit corners like a bat out of hell.
If I had those in my car I'd be worried but if you dont drive hard they might work. Good luck with them.

How's the ride? Good over rough roads? Harsh over big bumps? Does the car lean more or less compared to stock? Does the car move around a lot over speed bumps or dips in the road?

So has anyone found anything negative about the coilovers? All I can find is positive feedback

A popular 200sx parts company were selling coilovers for 580, which people felt were well priced and they seemed pretty good quality... I managed to find the manufacturer of the kits over in China, who would sell a full set (pillowball, camber plated, height and damper adjustable) for about 220 + about 80 delivery.

Now, would you have bought the same coilovers if they were about 250 (bought in bulk)? It's odd that that if the retailer simply doubles the price, that people have more faith in the quality...

I guess my point is, don't know 'em until you (or someone you trust) has tried them and they HAVE tried more expensive options. It's too easy for someone who has only ever had stock suspension to declare the quality is good and the ride is fine, if they have never known quality...

I can tell just by looking at the finished product. These ones look a little funny to me, but I really hope to be disapointed and they work fine for the OP.

I have them on my wife`s 323 vert..rides better than the sport susp, they look like a well made package, no worse than the stock stuff I took off or the bilstein PSS9s I had on my one e46 M3 ....the welds look fine, I see no problem with the build quality ...but time will tell all on how they last
