Screen

2 questions:

1. around how much bigger r those widescreen's compared to the original yr 2000 330ci screens?
2. how much does it costs for one of the widescreens?

Cheers

That much

RealOEM.com has the On-board monitor with display for USD1,800 and the Housing with cassette drive (cheapest) for 800. Thats dealer pricing. If you already have nav pre-installed then you don't need anything else.

http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catal...-item-124.html has it for USD700, but it looks like thats a second hand one. Still, significantly cheaper then the dealer pricing.

To be honest, unless your nav unit is currently fvcked or something I wouldn't bother. Just make sure you are running MKII software and the older smaller 4:3 unit will be fine.

Not my car, just a google picture by the dual climate control and headlight switch position i'd say thats an E39 (5 series). The E38, E39, E46, and early X5 all share the same widescreen nav so thats just a reference picture really. It looks like he took the trim off and wrapped it in suede or a similar material, nice idea actually!
