Car wont start!! HELP!!!...
![]() Hi guys, advice is much needed over here! firstly, my little car wont start. i figure its the battery, right? coz if i leave my radio on for too long the car wont start and i have to jump it. so i go out and get myself a brand new battery. fit it and hey presto! the car is purring. im all in the clear i think and carry on with other pressing matters. then, after approx a week, (drove it the whole week)i try to start my car one evening after just using it half an hour earlier and she wont fire up! now i am going into a tailspin.. so the mechanic says to me its the fuel pump, i get that changed... ![]() and i am back in the game! or so i thought.... two days later, the car wont start again, and i am at a loss ![]() i just did a major service in december and i was not anticipating this! i have no idea what is going on! i am not mechanically minded, being of the fairer sex, but i know my fair share... my only other guess is alternator??? i just dont know... can someone shed some light on this for me?? |

You could check the wires that are connected to the battery, make sure that the screws they are properly fastened.. i had them loose once, and the car didnt start.
my 2cents.. sorry for the crappy english. |

thanks for the reply, wires? geez, wouldnt the mechanic have picked that up? i had to boost my car again yesterday and it started after 10 minutes of charging the battery, it was stone dead. theres a buzzing sound when i jump in the car. is there something thats killing my battery? its brand spanking new, it shouldnt be dying like this. i am so confused!

Do you have any aftermarket accessories, like amps, lights, etc. that may still be drawing from Battery, even with the ignition off? Also have mechanic check wires at the battery, starter, and alternator, and if they can, have them test the alternator. |
