Question sirius problem

i have the O.E.M Sirius tuner in my car and for the last few months its been saying aquiring signal so i bought a new antenna and that didnt solve the problem so i am wondering if the sirius tuner is bad or the radio in the car but everything else works fine on the radio

I have the same problem. I got no help from the dealship the unit was purchased from too. I tried different antenna mounting positions and a new antenna but still got the "aquiring signal" message. I got fed up and closed my Sirus account. I am pissed because the dealer would not test the tuner to see if it was faulty, the tech just said my antenna position was wrong. I had mounted the antenna as others had -rear deck shelf - and had great success for 4 months then nothing. Sirus told me only the dealer could check the turner, NOT. Good luck with your problem. If you find the fix please post or PM me. Sirus customer service is WEAK but I miss the music choices.

If you have a dual-lead receiver, check the ALC module. Mine failed and caused the display to flash acquiring. I just removed the ALC module and plugged the antenna splitter directly into the receiver. Also check to ensure that the splitter is not the problem. You can test the splitter with an ohm meter to ensure that there is not a break in connection at the connectors or in the splitter itself.
