Sure. Porter Cable is a very nice for beginning, but the more you work with it the more you realize how weak it is and how long it takes to get some decent results.

I will soon be using mine just for very light imperfections and tight spaces.

They are not that expensive though. $100 will get you a new one.

Sure thing. Detailed Image has good prices on packages. Otherwise, Tools-Plus is good for individual stuff. The new 7424XP is out now, btw, so orginal 7424's might be a bit cheaper.
