Paint Color or Code

I have a 2000 bmw 328i sedan and ordered something online for my car assuming that my paint job was imola red. They then told me that imola red wasn't available in 2000 for a bmw.

I have checked every where to see if i can find it and I can't. I looked under the hood by the chassis number and inside every door.

Can anyone help me please?

its supposed to be under the hood near the intake there should be a plaque stating the name and code of your paint

Topaz > Sienna > Estoril

Also, odds are it's Hellrot.

regardless............ imola was only offered for the m3, or the later 2003+ zhp

you have either japan red or hellrot red, if you are confusing it with imola

sienna red is more of a cranberry metallic color......... look on your driverside strut tower, thats where the color is

There should be a black sticker on one of your strut towers that says the color, in German, and under the name will be a 3 digit number something like 354/0. I know that's not 3 digits, but the first 3 digits are the color code.

On earlier cars this sticker may be under the air box, or on the underside of the hood. Wherever it is, the sticker will look the same. It is in the engine bay some place.
