what do you guys think of the new X5?
I'm going to test drive them tomorrow. I'm liking the turbo diesel engine, and they're having some good prices right now. $4,500 discount, $1,800 tax credit, etc.
I'm not too fond of all the black rubber that they have on every panel of the car, but other than that, they look sweet. |

I really prefer the facelifted version of the previous body-style. But I can tell you this after owning a 4.4, it's the ONLY SUV I have ever driven that feels like a car. Even more so than the Cayenne S imo

i'm also considering a cayenne. you can pick up TT's for cheap, and i love the GTS, would probably get a used one though...decisions, decisions..

yeah the reviews for the D are amazing. i imagine i could do an ECU upgrade and give it a little more power.
2010 they upgrade the I DRive which everyone seems to hate, but i'd love to find a used one...maybe this will have to wait until next year. But the Cayenne TT's are in the $35k range right now, may have to get one of those for now to hold us over |

so i'm looking at the cayenne turbos, and i have to admit, its a pretty boring car. there isn't much difference (appearance wise) from the base model v6 and the turbo. the GTS however is amazing, noticably different. time to start seeing what mods are available for the turbos...i'd definitely need new bumpers, rims and painted panels to replace the hideous chrome ones.

BIG fan of the GTS, can't compare it to any other Cayennes, because its the only one I've ever driven, but its a hoot. If I was blindfolded (I know, not the best analogy) I wouldn't have known it was an SUV and weighed almost two tons. And the exhaust noise in Sport Mode......
That's enough to love it right there. As for the new X5s, I think they look silly with those small tires, most of the time I'm not a fan of big tires but you need at least 19s or 20s
