If you mean private sales among individuals, the guns that are already in the hands of the public (not dealers) will be grandfathered in...those who already have them will be able to sell them to others at prices that make the current ones look like a joke...can probably sell ARs for double what you pay for them

At least that's what I see

Hopefully, we won't have to see this day come. But if so, I can definitely agree with your above statement.

Many are scrambling to grab/stock up on the AR while they still can. So get them while they are still available. The purposed Federal Assault Weapons Ban reinstatement has driven the current prices way north and will not change anytime soon. I hope this uncertainty will settle down soon.

Both are great systems, both are Piston driven, & both are extremely reliable. They both will serve most well, so either way you chose you cant really go wrong. It’s just a matter of small differences that can make a person prefer one over the other.

Sig makes great weapons, I own many of their pistols but the Sig 556 does not share any other parts with the common AR-15 system. Most consider the SIG 556 not a "true" AR-15. The internal mechanics are completely unique, not sharing commonalty with the AR15. The available options for parts are limited to only SIG parts. Unlike the LMT rifle which can be upgraded/swapped/changed with a much higher amount of available parts. This might not be a big problem now, but if the AW ban falls into place, part availability will become extreme which would serve one better if they had the option to use parts from countless other manufactures.

However, both are great & you cant really go wrong either way.

I have actually seen availability go up and prices come down in my neck of the woods. That goes for ammo as well to an extent. As a matter of fact the local fun shop has a RRA A2 type complete rifle (minus BUIS I believe) for $850 or so IIRC.

Just found out there's a gun forum here!

CMMG w/ EOTech 512; CCA stock saddle, and a little camo wrap for grip. PMags all the way.
