@@@Need help figuring if he wants a 1998 328i@@@
So my friend needs to sell his car that has been sitting in his driveway for about 1 year he rarely drives it and its a 1998 328i mostly stoke no engine mods and has 80k miles and offers me 2,000 dollars for it is it a good deal?

nothings wrong with it it drives good but i am going to get it checked out? and things i should mod? im looking exhaust,air-take, interior, chip

Take it to the shop of your choice for a PPI, so you know the potential problems. I would do preventative maintenance like a new cooling system, fluids change, new filters, spark plugs, etc. first.
I just got my hands on an E36 M3, and I want to start modding it so badly, but gotta do preventative maintenance so I know it'll last me for a while.
