Hey all,
I just picked me up a 2001 325xi. It has 100k on it, but its real clean and has been dealer maintained. I first found this site by searching for a fuel filter for it, since for some reason, its just tearing up the gas. I get less that 300 miles to a tank. SO i replaced the filter, and still nothing. The guide was extremely helpful to replacing the filter by the way. I wouldnt have thought of that trick about removing the fuse so thanks for that! I guess I shouldn't compare it to my old 325is.

So today is when it begins I guess. The service engine light came on, and at the same time the business radio no longer gives a readable visual display, but works perfectly other than that. I took it to advance auto and they put their obd ll diagnostics on it but they were unable to give me any conclusive results. Im going to have to go to a real shop this week to see whats going on. Something with the mass air flow sensor i believe..

Other than that, I love the car, I cant wait to try out the awd in the snow! The car came with a roof rack but no attachments for a snowboard so if anyone has one for sale I'm interested. Also I'd love to have the M68 wheels for it if anyone has those for sale. After much research, I'm pretty sure I cant go with the staggered and thats fine with me.

I'm posting a pic, its all stock but hopefully not for long.

Well thanks in advance guys, I look forward to future readings/postings

Welcome to E46. If you think it is the MAF, get some MAF cleaner and give it a good cleaning and see if that helps.

Great idea I'll try that. Thanks. Can I just use some carb clean?
