You know, for some reason I remember seeing it some place and buying another brand because the bottle looked better. Guess I should hunt for it again huh?

Just picked up a bottle of this (at CarQuest) last night after work and did a quick wash to my wagon. I was very impressed as well. Washed the entire car with only 5 or 6 dips of the mitt. A huge improvement over my previous soap. Took less water in the bucket as well. Suds-up very nicely. Hard to beat for $5 IMO.

OLD thread, but wanted to bump this easily found car wash soap. It does a GREAT job, is very inexpensive and gives great results. Suds up real nice, stays soapy throughout the wash and very effectively removes and disolves road film and tar. I got mine at Carquest for $5.19. Thanks E46 fanatics for the recommendation.

Guys best thing to do is buy duragloss products online, they have a 5 dollar flat rate shipping fee, so just order all you want. The soap is great, as is 105 (sealant), and aquawax.

Carquest, you can actually have them order a gallon for around $25 and it will be there the next day.

The Geek store also carries Duragloss stuff, as does Superior******. (not sure if its bad form to plug other places on my man Greg's board....although Greg doesn't choose to carry Duragloss so it shouldnt matter). I just bought 901, 105 and AW for $26 total shipped.
Depending on coupons it can be a little cheaper than going thru Duragloss direct. I called my local Napa and Carquest stores here in Chicago, and they had "some" Duragloss products, like the 901 shampoo, and maybe 101 polish and that was it. They didn't have the 105 or aquawax. If you order a couple things its almost a wash anyhow because you don't have to pay sales tax, and if you layer in a coupon it is probably even cheaper than driving around finding a Carquest store..... |

Buy some Duragloss Aquawax while you're there (great spray on sealant to boost the longevity of your LSP.)

Yeah I am excited to try DG901, although it is a lot more expensive. You can get 64 oz of Megs GC at Target, etc for like $9 vs 16oz of DG for $5. I am still using a gallon of TurtleWax All Purpose Wash so either option is certainly a step up for me....

I think I'm with ya
I have used the DG901 I got now, and I do like it. Nice and sudsy. However I am struggling to think that its that much superior to Megs GC which is cheaper. I'll use it of course but will probably look to buy a bottle of GC at WalMart next time I need car wash. $5 for 16 oz of 901 vs $6.50 for 64 oz of Megs - I don't see the Duragloss as being 4X better performance in terms of washing my car..... |
