What's the best way to buff off wax?

Normally I put my wax and buff it off by hand...

Would it be ok to buff off with a rotary/orbital?

Try a plush MF towel.

If anything use the random orbital to apply a thin coat and take it off by hand.

I agree remove the left over product with a clean microfiber towel. Look for a soft and paint safe one that won't add any micro-scratches to the surface.
