E46: Replacement of rear passenger door

Need to replace rear passenger door of 1999 328i. I plan on buying a 2003 330i door online. Can anyone verify the if it is identical and will fit? Also, I've been searching for a DIY post for replacement of a door. If you know of one please let me know, thanks!

yea sedan doors will fit '99-'05 regardless of model and a diy it can't be that hard ... just be sure to disconnect the battery, take off the door card, remove and disassemble wires, window glass, and unbolt from the hinges

regards,
tyler

Yes, all e46 sedan doors are the same.

If you are new to doing work on your BMW, it's probably not the job for you. You will need a lot of different tools from those inverse torx sockets to long allen wrenches, to various metric sockets and wrenches. Adjusting the door fitment is a paint, takes a lot of patience, and you have to understand how the adjustment of doors works. Lastly, there are a lot of one-time-use parts like exterior door trim clips and the such.

If you need the info I could post, but it is a lot of explaining and a lot of figuring out even with my explanations.
