the correct way to prep a new car

08RallyRed EvoX GSR w/SSS Package

I know, I know, another old thread.
Crap this car is almost 2 years old yiiiiiiiiiiks!
This car was done at my old shop,
I don't miss the old place at all!

We all know that the dealership has a bad history of not delivering a new car properly.Often at times the car is rushed out the door as soon as the new owner comes to pick it up.Sometimes your brand spanking new ride has swirls, scratches or messy wax left over in the cracks. The dealership is good for selling the car and that is all.Heres the pics, hope you enjoy.
"give me the car with all the plastic still on it please"
-thats what he said with a smile =D

We carefully hand washed and clayed the car.A nice soft shammy was used to dry it off.The blower was then used so that no water dripped out from any crevices such as moldings, handles, mirrors etc. There was a little bit of residue left over from removing all the plastic.Using a brand new micro fiber towel, alcohol was used to rub down the entire vehicle. We gave the paint two nice thick coats of wax,of course applied by hand. One coat of Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax (No. 845) with bees wax melted right in for the bottom coat. One coat of 3M Perfect-It Show Car Paste Wax for the top coat.
For the interior all that was needed was a good vacumming,a light damp shammy wipedown to remove dust from the door cards, dash and center console. To protect the seats, floor mats and carpeting,3M Scotchguard was applied. All glass was polished with a 000 fine steel wool pad and then rain-x was used for all the windows, not just the front windshield.
As you can see form the pics, I had alot of fun working on this car.I'm either smiling or making funny faces during the whole process.

LMAO I woke up on the couch this morning at 5:30am & couldn't make it to my room & into my bed so I just started bumping & posting things in here. Once I'm up, I can't fall back asleep! I just got back home, I had to finish up a black Acura TSX exterior detail.
