The d110.e46c subwoofer system finally came (9 weeks later) and I installed it yesterday! Thanks Halston for the help on the phone. It sounds GREAT and I finally have a decent sound system with enough bass to make me happy. My 328ci had the HK system and I missed the bass, so having bass back again in addition to the 10 normal speaker is really nice! I highly recommend the Stage 1 & subwoofer systems from BSW!!! nice stuff! +1 to bsw! ... got the "bsw" sticker on my car now too! It came with the spec dock and DICE but not with the speaker systems... I don't know why.

Welcome!

Do you find any need to replace the stock amp?

Also, I want to upgrade the HK system on my 330Ci... I have the premium sound as well so I have that little button that makes the sound seem "live."

How does the full BSW system compare to the HK? I'm looking for hard, clear bass... while not fuzzing out the sound as the volume gets louder.

Would the premium sound button work with the BSW set up, also?

No, the stock amp still does fine and the subwoofer system came with it's own, so I haven't needed to replace the amp.

I know what you're talking about. I have that button for the HK system in my 328ci. I assume it still works fine when you upgrade to the BSW, but you'd have to ask them. They should know more about that.

I think it's MUCH clearer. I had only stock in my M3 so I really needed some good speakers, so I went with the BSW upgrade, but personally I wouldn't upgrade from the HK to BSW unless you really wanted to because the HK is a good system. Then again, I'm not a sound geek, so to some people it may be necessary, but if I were you I'd just stick with the HK speakers for now. As for the bass, you could stick with the HK speaker for the most part and upgrade to the BS subwoofer system specifically for the bass addition! That thing will put out some serious bass and I usually leave it one 50% gain, not anywhere near full and I love it! Nothing like some great bass!

Would the premium sound button work with the BSW set up, also?
Probably so, you can contact Halston or Micah at BSW and they could tell you specifically. They both posted on this thread, so just scroll up and PM them with questions.

Hope these comments helped you a little.
