will a dinan intake from a 325 fit my 330?
I got a chance to pick up a brand new dinan intake for a 325 for cheap. Is there any way to make it fit my 330?
I looked it up on dinancars.com and the parts numbers are different D760-0002 (330) & D760-0007 (325). I haven't been able to find pics to compare the piping sizes

If the piping sizes are different you can just go to homedepot and buy whats called a rubber coupling and it will work 100% fine

I just don't want to create a bottleneck effect and end up losing power. here are actual pics of the part:

bottleneck? by making a 3" pipe fit to a 2.5" one? That hardly qualifies.
(And I assumed it was the old school Dinan CAI that I have, but either way, it doesnt really matter. It will work)

If you don't want a bottle-neck, no. The piping on a 325 is smaller than a 330.

EDIT: The ones at Home Depot suck, get one off Ebay in silicone....they are built for that and much cheaper. Stay away from the Fernco stuff. Just my 2 cents.

No, dont do it, the 325 is smaller than a 330, you may even lose power.

I just bought the old pipe style intake that was for a 325/328 and it fit perfectly on my 330..they were both 3.5" pipe. Dont take my word but it worked out for me.

I got some money ready. Really, just keep it, will work fine. Hell, I got a Gruppe M for a 325 that I modified to fit my M56 with the 330 MAF. Simple fix. But, I can take it off your hands.

piping doesnt matter, its the MAF that you will have trouble with, as mentioned before a reducer will work just fine, the air box never sees any sort of boost so any decent coupler and clamps will do just fine, as far as the bottle neck goes, with this particular set up any sort of "bottle neck effect" if any is pretty insignificant, it wouldnt even be worth worrying about
