Motorized Throttle MDK final stage failure

Hey guys,

I just got some errors on my car about the MDK

(A9 from peak handbook) Motorized Throttle MDK final statge failure and (A6) which does not exist in the book. Anyhow, I reset the CEL numerous times but the error codes will just not go away. I had the same codes before and after a reset they were cleared but this time they aren't being cleared. I think my throttle body really might be gone. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Also if I do change the TB then I read that I will also have to get the adaptations cleared and this is where my PEAKE tool is limited. I was thinking about getting the auto enginuity code scanner. Does anyone know of any other good code scanners and where I can get them? I have some friends that have the OBD2 cable that connects to their laptop and I was wondering if it's just a matter of getting the right s/w. Any help on this matter would be useful.

How about an update? Did you have any drivability issues?

I have the same diagnosis right now and I am considering next steps. The engine began losing power while driving on the highway. Had to pull over, shut off car and re-start. Then problem has not returned in the last 100 miles. But I read the same codes (mostly) as you and I am wondering if you solved yours.

I have same symptoms im going in the direction of new throttle body too. No need for a cool scanner tool though.
mazingly, I just reset the throttle, and everything has been Okay. I will go ahead and clean to TB and ICV just in case though. Here is what I did:

"Resetting Throttle:

"The Throttle is "Drive By Wire" and adapts to your particular driving
style. Do a TBA Throttle body adaptation.

1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.

2. Turn the key to the on (not start) position, the position just before the starter turns over.

3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.

4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back
to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas

5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment.

6. Drive the car as you always do"
