BMW has lost what made BMW to begin with. It's hard to put a finger on, but there was just something about the '80s and '90s BMWs that made them uniquely German.

you know, when you put the E60 next to the older 5ers, you can definitely see something went wrong in their design philosophy. Too bad the new cars aren't fixing that.

From what I have seen, I cannot write it off totally. Have to wait until more pictures of the actual car surface. But if it anything like that 5 GT nonsense, I am running for the hills, aka Audi and pretty much anything else.

Quick question, with these horrible new BMWs coming out, will people be inclined to hold onto their current ones, seek another marque, get a current one that they like (essentially trade up)?

I think the best BMW designs of present were the e46, e39 and e65. The e65 was different and funky, but still resembled a BMW, not some alien space craft thing, lol. It just make me want to keep my e46 more. I think the new BMW are getting to cluttered and fussy.
