How safe is it to drive with 2 different size wheels in the rear?
I just got a flat and the spare is a different size from the rear I replaced. Is it okay to drive around normally and do I have time to order tires from tirerack and replace them, or should I replace them right away.
original rear 17x8.5 245/40/17 spare 17x7.5 225/45/17 |

![]() Thanks for the info though . Makes me feel safer to just hold on and order the tires from Eddie. |

Just FYI, the difference in diameter between the two is merely 1%, that's why it's ok. You couldn't say the same w/ one of those space-saver donuts.
