Question windscreen pictures

Hey guys. '00 Miata owner and it has a built in windblocker that does a wonderful job at reducing the turbulent air that gets into the cockpit between the seats. I can lay a sheet of paper on the driver's side seat and drive down the road without it moving, up to 70mph - windows up of course.

So, being spoiled by my little roadster I was expecting at least as much protection in our new RAGTOP Bimmer, but quite a bit of turbulence gets in, even with the windows rolled up. In the heat of the summer it doesn't make a difference... you wan't as much air movement as possible, but in the cool crisp fall air, you want the opposite. So I've been thinking about getting the windblocker/screen for our cabriolet.

Okay now here are my ton of questions:

1) Does anyone have any close up pictures with the 'screen mounted? (screen up /down, mounting points)
2) Its hinged right? you can fold it down?
3) Do you have to remove it before putting the top up?
4) How exactly does it mount and how easy is it to install?
5) Can you install it without getting out of the car?
6) Can someone post the instructions that come with it?

TIA, all you guys have such nice cars!! Hope I can save up some money to start MOD'ing mine so it doesn't get jealous about how much I mod my Miata

My Ride: 02 M3 Cab
e46 windscreen

It's expensive, but works well. I had an '00 323CiC with the windscreen. I sold the car to my brother-in-law, but I can get some pics of it installed. I'm picking up an M3 Cab in 2 weeks and I kept my windscreen. I really cuts down on the buffeting in the cabin, even with the side windows down.

1) Does anyone have any close up pictures with the 'screen mounted? (screen up /down, mounting points)
It mounts into the holes above the rear seat side armrests. You also need to slightly raise then lower the "clamshell" cover of the conv top to pinch rear mounts for the windscreen.
If you install the windscreen, you loose the rear seats for people.
2) Its hinged right? you can fold it down?
It can be folded down flat.
3) Do you have to remove it before putting the top up?
No
4) How exactly does it mount and how easy is it to install?
Only takes a minute to install. If you store it in the trunk when not in use, you have to unfold the sides (they collapse to reduce the width so it fits in the trunk), insert the pins into the 2 holes above the rear seat armrests, slightly raise, then lower the clamshell and you're done.
5) Can you install it without getting out of the car?
No. You can leave it installed and flip the vertical screen portion up or down while in the seat and moving.
6) Can someone post the instructions that come with it?
I didn't get any instructions with mine -- but I bought mine at the Munich HQ. A few drawings silk screened on the carry case.

Thanks!! That clears up quite a bit!!

Expensive... yes... lowest I've seen online for new is $300... but that's close to the price of a similar screen for my Miata, although my stock windblocker is not as tall...

Would like to see some close ups of it installed and the mounting and how it fastens in the back under the clamshell(?) or tonneau cover? If someone is bored maybe an animated step by step of its installationand removal?

hehe... not asking for much am I?

thanks!
