20"
Looking at some very cheap MRR Design HR-6 wheels, bolt pattern 5-120, 20x9f/20x10.5r, offset 15mm front/25mm rear...come on some Nitto Invo's 245/40f and 275/35r...Im not well informed when it comes to these things, suspension is stock, would these fit on an e46 m3???
TIA, Miro |

The car has been set up for either 18's or 19's, putting 20's on is going to take away from the handling, if your not bothered then thats fine but the car is a finly balanced machine, why spoil it? just my ten cents.

I wouldnt run 20" either, your taking away from what the car was ment to do. Run a good set of 19" and youll love how the car handels.

Yes, we get it. Generally enthusiasts aren't going to like 20's on the m3. But to answer the question...
I'm going to say that those will not fit. The front wheel is an inch wider than stock. Before considering offsets, the wheel already sticks out 13mm further in the front, which is okay by itself. But when you consider that the offset is 32mm less than stock, you have a net change of 45mm. I think the rears would fit fine, but would probably rub if you lowered the car by any material amount. |

I ran 20's for awhile, and this sounds like the setup I had. They should fit, but don't put any fat chicks in the back.

If you had 20's with a +15 offset up front, I want to see pics.

OK, unless you SLAM your car, 20's are going to make it look like a 4x4. And, if you should slam the car, you are going to have to roll or cut your fenders to prevent rubbing. It just seems silly to start tearing the car apart and dropping huge amounts of money to make 20's work when 19's look just as good in most cases.
Furthermore, unless you have a lot of body work, even with a drop, they just look kinda "goofily large"

back to the point the whole 20" thing drop it, it handles like $hit and take of is crap don't forget any increase in diamiter will change gear ratio (not in your favor) plus the added weight. if you get 20" plan to go real low and real slow. I would worry about that 15mm on the front double check that with a shop it seems too low. but i'm not 100% sure. I had 20" and the car drove like crap, i could still distroy a v8 mustang but not every car is a crappy mustang.

There are many people who run 20s on their m3, including myself. It might look goofy on a regular 3-series but not on an M3. I didn't notice a difference in handling. Unless you track your car, 20s are fine. But if you consider 20s, plan on rolling your fenders if you're doing any sort of lowering.

![]() Sure there are some m3s on the site with 20's that look good but, if you ask me, the 20's on your ride make the rear look awkwardly raised up. If you slam the car to make the wheels look more at home, you have to start chopping up the inner portion of the fenders and that's on an m3.. on a non-m, which has even less room to work with, you need to really be careful with the camber, tire width, type of tire, and, even then, still will have to roll/cut the fenders. I just don't see an advantage when the finished product doesn't look any better than 19's. But, to each their own. |

20's
I'm running 20" HRE's that came off an E90 on my 04 E46 M3, I had to use a 15mm spacer to push it out to the edge of the fender in the rear. The difference in weight between the stock wheels, the 19" BBS CH's and the HRE's are huge. The HRE's hands down are the lightest of the 3 wheels sets. The ride quality is as good or better than the BBS's with 35/30's. The acceleration because of the lighter weight is better than with stock wheels, even with a 285/25 in the rear it still feels more comfy than the stock wheel/tire combo. The 20's to me look just right! I've got my car sitting pretty low with no fender rolling. I'm running V-3 for suspension, so that probably helps to. I definitely won't track the car with the 20's though.

Everyone is aware of the advantages and disadvantages of running 20s rather than 19s. That said, 20s look sick if done right. But as I said before, |
