Lip spoiler questions

well my m3 lip spoiler is going to be coming in pretty soon and i'm not sure if they are going to be curved to the contour of the trunk.. so i did some searching and there was supposedly a DIY on this on www.330ci.com ...but the site seems to be down can anyone give me some input on what exactly i need to do to ensure that it is curved nicely and sits properly.. thanks in advance

I got a 2nd pair of hands to help me. Basically there should be about 1/16'' on each side of the trunk; that should center it pretty close. You can lightly set it down on the trunk to test it and it wont stick permanently. As far as the curvature, from what I remember it has a little curve but not much. So, we started at one end, lightly tacking it down about 1in at a time while the 2nd person held the rest of the spoiler so it didn't accidentally stick. Once you've got the whole thing in place and you're SURE its where you want it... push down on the spoiler (everywhere) and apply some pressure to make sure you get a good bond. I'm pretty sure directions are included. Mine was the double stick tape... not glue.
