Ok, can we get an explanation of what the 1000 covers? I would assume that is just for the installation of the headunit and the DVD player? The location of the DVD player in the lower pocket is definatlely not easy and would require a decent amount of work. The headuint is not difficult.

Yes but I'm going for a little style too. I just don't like it looking left justified like most normal installs.

Re: Audio Install quote!! :yikes:

First, you DON'T have to modify the AC vents. They don't know what they're talkin bout. Second, can you imagine how much they'd want for the work I did?

Is this kinda steep or does something like this really cost that much?

The work you did is awesome but unfortunately I don't have that kind of tech savvy when it comes to Audio equipment.

Is this just for HU and DVD player? I got quoted 1k for components, amp, HU, DVD player, PS2, Navigation and CD Changer..... not custom install on HU like that.. but it will look good either way.

That is a little pricey. If it is at HCCS it might be worht it because they do the best work in Texas in my opinion. Ever seen Zerin's S4? Or take a look at dSpotters install.. they did that too...

If you want super custom and you aren't afraid to spend some money CCS is the place. You can also try contacting Nick at Tweeter at the memorial location. Tell him Mike from Car Toys sent ya. And of course there's us

Bender....Where in Houston do you work?

I'd like to see one of these custom installs in person. And is the Cartoys you guys refer to the one on Bissonett by the Beltway?

Me and Bender work at the location by Willowbrook mall...right behind Hooters. At least until we go into the flip flop business.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't that headunit acutally fiberglass molded INTO the dash piece? If it is, that's $$$

that's a great deal if it includes the speakers in the kick panels, especially if they're sealed enclosures.
