I reported most of his posts so the mods cleaned the thread but he just keeps posting here. He is throwing a fit that I'm not posting a certain kind of fluid, lulz. Says I'm misinforming people because I'm going by bmw spec... yup

Texaco replaced ETL 7045 with 7045E and now sells it around the world as "Texamatic" 7045E.
The "E" (for Extended) denotes the superior additive and friction modifier package that was used in keeping with BMW's desire for lifetime fluid initiative. Here is the product bulletin for 7045E from 2003 that helps given an indication how long ago Texaco had already made the change to the upgraded fluid: 2003 Texamatic 7045E Product Bulletin In the past, many fanatics have observed that this fluid was only available in bulk format or 20 liter containers. Texamatic 7045-E can be found for purchase on the web and is available in 1 liter bottles. ![]() BMW's SI B 24 01 98 is the guiding document for automatic transmission fluids. Here is a link to a copy of BMW SI B 24 01 98 that is available to be downloaded in pdf format for free courtesy of Bentley Publishing: BMW SI B 24 01 98 Automatic Transmission For GM A5S 360R transmissions the document says: "USE ONLY TEXACO ETL 7045E (REPLACES TEXACO ETL 7045)" BMW issued SI B 24 01 98 in September 2001. Here is the relevant page from the document where this instruction is printed (Info in yellow box): ![]() . Last edited by bmwbun; 11-09-2009 at 05:19 AM. |

I don't deserve any praise as what I post is misinformation according to bmwbun, this thread will be deleted per my request unless he quits posting here. I will have none of it, I'm sick of this crap repeatedly happening and no action being taken against it

EDIT: And you know what? Your document isn't part of an official bmw sib, I looked that SI B 24 01 98 and that chart from GM (not BMW) isn't even part of the original service bulletin. No where in the actual bulletin does it mention 7045E, it just mentions 7045 as I have circled below. Your chart is just an add on made by bentley publishers in that pdf document. It's funny, you are using that chart against me yet when I used that chart against you in your ATF thread that got locked, you ignored it. Picking and choosing information are we? ![]() Real BMW service bulletin: ![]() ![]() Please don't post here anymore, that includes updating your old posts with more spam crap. bmwbun stops posting or I delete the thread. Enough is enough and I'm very aggravated with my threads being spammed constantly by him

Certainly had never heard of dealerspeed before seeing it referred to in this thread. I'm guessing I'm in the majority on that one.
We already discussed that the screen dumps from dealerspeed here are missing information about 8072 B fluid and about the 7045E update. And that in reality, no A5S 390R transmissions were ever filled with 7045 fluid. We don't need to rehash that. I did notice that the sections on fluids all ended with the phrase "See SI Bulletin 24 01 98". Very good advice. SI Bulletin 24 01 98 with the complete and up-to-date fluid information can be found on the web at no cost. . |

Excellent
This is an excellent and timely forum for me as I need to get some radiator parts. This is why I come here and enjoy this forum so much.
![]() I do agree with you that the rants about fluids are nerve racking. It almost makes you want to say fluids are "users choice" and leave at that. ![]() The realoem site is pretty easy to use as well.
