Anyone Successfully Date a Doctor? - Page 2

I date and will soon *knock on wood* marry a nurse so I guess not as crazy as a doctor, but hectic nonetheless.

Hours are crazy but from my experience, as long as you sit down and get a good understanding of what her schedule is like, you will always be able to make plans around them.

Be ready for a lot of "shop talk" at parties, especially med school/residency parties. That's all we do is talk shop, and then the significant others usually get bored and yell at us to talk about other things. (Usually reverts back to shop talk by the end of the night.)

turns out, when I have a lot time to spend alone...let's just say it didn't work out.

edit: come to think of it, I was younger and going out a lot back then. I think I could've made it work if it was now.

No don't, they are always busy and too tired, if you know what I mean. My ex is a doctor, make tons of money, married to an ER doctor. They rarely see each other. It's sad. There's more to life than money.

My buddy - a surgical tech - is always hooking up with female nurses/doctors (..married or not). Errrr...not worth it! The doctor's lounge is often used for intimate activities.

i'm a doctor and every woman i've met had a problem with my work..

i work long hours, oncall every 3rd day, sometimes on holidays... it's crazy
