They are... Eh, I don't know what to call them.
The ultimate vibrator under about 4k RPM! *90 degree 2cyl FTW* Massively uncomfortable comparatively speaking. But overall a very amazing machine, that I myself considered buying. Thinking about a Daytona 675 instead... |

4k Low rpm?
We are talking about a 849cc motor here... I mean don't get me wrong its GREAT for a track bike, it's a darn dream. But do to parts costs it's a horrible stunt bike, and longer distance riding you really want your rpm a bit lower, especially with that much rotating mass. If I had the cash to throw on a track toy, I would buy one, for now I'll keep my R6, and maybe look at a Daytona 675. But I do lots of 300 mile trips too. |

I don't stunt. And I don't really ride long distances anymore. My sportbikes from here on out like my current will be aggresively focused.
My days of making a sportbike into a tourer and what not are done, its easier to just buy a 2nd damn bike. I still say 4kpm is not somewhere I ride at. My RR redlines at 12k I'm pretty sure that duc revs the same or higher, and if I had one it would be geared shorter for sure. |

RR would be more feasable as a track bike, tons of parts for it just floating around. why not get a pimp touring bike as a street bike like the interceptor?

The 848's redline is 10,800, but ya in the case of severe aggressive riding, it's a different story.

Out of curiosity, how much do all of the riders here pay monthly on their bikes (..What was the cost of the bike? How much down? What was the finance term? etc..)?
With $2,000 down, my payments will be $192.43; $2,500 down, and the payments drop to 184.64 respectively. The term is 84 months @ 7.9%.

84 months?? I wouldn't finance anything that long if you can help it. I bought mine new in 07, put only $350 down, payments were $189/month for 48 months, just paid it off

I have the option of 48 - 84 months. No pre-payment penalties, and I'd likely have it paid off much sooner anyways. Congrats on paying off the RR!

if you can get the same interest rate for thay long and know you'll pay it off sooner then that's def the way to go. I'm so happy to have the bike paid for, what a load off
