i use fogs when it is raining outside or on really dark roads, I find they do a good job of giving me a heads up about any debris in the road.

I'd like to see the law that states you can't drive with your fog lights on unless it is foggy...

By the way... in Richmond, any car that attracts too much attention is highly likely to get pull-over. Especially now we are talking about a combo of 17 years old with 2500k fog. If I am driving a modded car in Richmond, i would really try to avoid any unwanted attention.

For those who don't know. Richmond is a city near Vancouver, Canada where one in five cars on the street is a MB or BMW. over 80% of the population is rich Chinese immigrants, but it is also one of the cities with the lowest (declared) income according to the tax agency (figure that out...). Two types of drivers dominate the city: 1) Ladies in a nice car (or a Toyota Corolla) who can't drive, and 2) Kids in a nice car who drive recklessly. It's not unusual to see a 16 year old in a M3, M6 or SL 600

lol. I was driving in Bklyn on Thursday to see my Mom for the holidays and I noticed chrome rims/extremely low profile tires are all the rage again and now these nuggas are all tinting their headlights and chrome-trimming them.

I tell you if I was a cop I'd be pulling any of these cars over and ticket them for "degradation of a BMW with an over saturation of poor taste!"

Now days you can get pulled over for any to no reason. I got pulled over by not one, but two officers in my subdivision. Asks me for DL and Insurance (my Insurance card was expired, GREAT!)

Guy 1 - takes my license, and says don't worry about the insurance card, if your cov. is not lapsed you're in good shape... I'll be right back.
Guy 2 - comes by the passenger side window (I have 20% tint front and limo on rear) I lower my window and he asks: - What year is this car?
I say: - 2000 sir.

Eyeballs the car all round, and I realize I don't have my front plate on!... F$ck!
Comes back to the passenger side window, followed by Guy 1 coming to the Driver side window and Guy 2 says: - YOU MUST GET A LOT OF BABES WITH THIS BABY! And laughs out loud, literally, and goes back to the car.

Guy 1 - Gives me my license back, and tells me "IM CLEAN" and I can go. Then he tells me they had been looking for three cars reported for racing near by... a black a white and a RED car!...

So I got pulled over for driving a modded RED BMW on a Friday afternoon!

LMFAO you deliver pizza in a BMW? That's one of the funniest things I've heard all week, and reminds me perfectly of that commercial from a decade ago where the guy gets caught delivering pizzas in his luxury car just to pay for it.

Why would anyone need front tints in BC. Isn't it like raining 364 days a year with 1 day of partly cloudy.

I have both of my bimmers tinted (35% all around) and angel eyes. My M3 has LED angel eyes, xenon fogs and no front plate and I don't get pulled over. Rhode Island does not allow any window tinting by law but the police won't pull you over if you have a reasonable amount of window tint. From my experience 35% is the cutoff limit. Anyway just wanted to chime in...
FFS, i wear a dominos uniform...how gangster CAN i drive?

zero tolerance for any front tint in B.C. People have been pulled over for having 50% - 70% which is barely noticeable. As for the angel eyes, I have never been hassled when they were on my car. They glow whitish/blue, much like the OEM xenons. Aside from the colour, how could he possibly complain about them, when e9x come equipped with them? Im sure you can dispute the ticket - had you gotten one- for the fog lights as 2500k is not bright at all, and the weather in the lower mainland would be on your side of the argument. Beware, especially in Richmond, of the ghost cars and roadblock, having those lights on your car make it an attention magnet!

I had a similar thing happen to me I was pulled over because my side marker lights looked blue to the officer when they are white in color. Sometimes cop use any reason to pull us over hoping they find some other violation. I was constantly getting pulled over for tinted windows that I had them removed don't need the hassle!! As for driving with fogs I doubt that is illegal ! Is there any thing better they can do with there time like fighting real crimes!!

BMW windows are tinted from the factory, however they are only tinted 72% or something along those lines... Helps out with UV rays

Most cars are tinted this way, but it isn't noticeable compared to 50, 35, and anything lower percentage wise

CA law does not allow tint on any front windows. You can tint the rears as much as you want.
Fogs are not a problem either...
