Tell me I'm not crazy... (pics included)

this story took place 2 years ago and it just seemed like fate...

My dad passed away 2 years ago and wanted to be buried back home in Sierra Leone so the family went back in Mar '08 for the funeral. I had to give the eulogy & wasn't ready to deal w/it so I got hammered the night before the flight and slept the entire way there b/c I was hungover. After the funeral, I was supposed to fly out 5 days later but changed my flight twice and ended up flying out 10 days later. On the flight out, I ran into some broad from Canada who was in Sierra Leone for a church mission trip. We chatted about our experiences and ended up really hitting it off. Turns out she was on my flight to Sierra Leone and after I had changed my flight twice, she was on my flight leaving Sierra Leone - weird, I know.

She came to visit me a few times in Ohio and I went to Canada a few times and we ended up dating. Then we broke up and I haven't talked to her for about a year. We start talking again about 4 months ago and we've visited each other and I'm ready to give up all the crazy club skanks and move to Montreal to be w/this chick. Am I doing the right thing for just wanting to pickup and move and try to find something real or do you guys think I'm nuts!!

ps. I'm an independent IT consultant and can pretty much work remote from anywhere so that's not an issue. I will be leaving a lot of my friends but it's not like i'm moving to some remote place; they can always come visit!

b/c she lived in Canada and I have a voracious sex appetite and told her I couldn't deal w/only banging her once a month.

Well, I wasn't quite that blunt but I just said the distance made it hard.

As of now, i don't plan on marrying her but I would like to give it an honest shot and see how things turnout when distance is not a factor. I'll be turning 30 next year and I think it's about time I gave settling down a shot. Even if it doesn't work out, I think I at least owe it to myself to give it a try. You can only bang these club chicks for so long before it gets real old. And if it doesn't workout, I have one hell of a story to tell the grandkids.

Sounds like you thought it out and it isn't a spur of the moment decision. You have given it sometime. I say go for it. Montreal is a great city.
