OP make sure you know what you are getting into before you decide to buy a reptile. Ive always been fascinated by reptiles, so as soon as I moved out of my parents house I bought a Ball Python. Just from the way you worded things it sounds like you are making an impulse buy which is not what you want to do with a reptile. Most can live for decades and can grow to be large quickly. They are by no means disposable pets like most rodents are. Just do your research about the animal and decide if you are willing to make such a commitment.
Heres my setup as it looked about a year ago, Ive since removed both pots an put a larger one (broken in half) in since hes grown bigger ![]() Hes grown about a foot since then and gotten much thicker

I wish I had pictures, but alas... I suck.
I had a 5 foot Iguana in a cage which was 20 feet wide, by 8 foot tall and 6 feet deep... I had real trees (dead limbs) and what not in there. By the end of his life, he could consume an entire head of lettuce (I said could, I never fed him iceberg) He was awesome, but I have no room for one now. I had him since he was 10" long.

On a scale from 0 to 24...wait, 3 to 24, where 6 is the lowest and 12 is the highest, how freaking high re you right now? She's got you high, and you don't even know yet. |

They can be a pain in the ass if you let them out of your sight. Mine once crawled into the back of my desk chair, I had to take the whole thing apart to get him out.

I had an all black leather, dual reclining sofa and that burmese that I posted in post #12 got out and all wound up around and inside the reclining mechanism. The next day that couch was sitting on the street cut up in a few pieces
