Where I live we get so much snow that anything less than 12" in a 12 hour period and the roads are clear within hours. When I used to live in Tennessee, a forecast of more than an inch would send residents scrambling to the store to buy bottled water like they were going to wait out a hurricane. It was ridiculous.

well DUH. cleveland expects snow so they budget huge $$$ for snow removal. we here in the mid-atlantic have a storm like this only once every 10-15 yrs...
