M54 Manifold Swap

I am considering doing an M54 manifold swap onto my 2.8 M52TU engine but am curious as to whether I need to use the B30 or B25 manifold. I understand that the ports are different on both manifolds, so which one would be ideal for my 2.8? Also, would it be smart to get the manifold port matched by a machine shop to see some extra hp gains?

Ports are the same, but internal runner length is shorter on the B30. Both should offer a noticeable increase in power over stock.
