also, for what you would pay for the euro airbox, you might as well just buy a 3.5" intake off of bimmerworld (racewerks) or turner, cause the CAI would be cheaper... and are you looking for HP or tq, cause if its HP go sunbelt for the cams.

I'm OBD1, so I'm good on the S50 manifold. That's what I'm reading on now, the sunbelt vs. schrick. The one dyno comparison done a few years back in atlanta is interesting. One M with schricks vs. another with sunbelts. The schricks yielded the better torque curve, but they seem to be attributing that to the AA headers on the sunbelt car which tend to favor more top end output vs the schrick car setup. I'd like to lean more towards the TQ setup.
I just like the stock look/filtration of the euro box. New it looks like they are around 350. If I can find one used for ~200 that wouldn't be bad, otherwise I will likely end up going aftermarket.

Engine, drivetrain, bearings, everything depends on being able to expand and heat up and operate properly. This won't hurt your car quickly, but will significantly shorten the life of those types of components over time. Tough on equipment.

Woke up to another great morning in HR. Damn winter.
Yeah, cold starts and short drives not so nice. It's what I always tell myself about my daily 70 mile commute to make me feel better about the miles I put on the car.

This doesn't sound like they were on a highway but some rural road, details are lacking though but in general this sounds out of proportion.
I got out this morning and turned around after a block, I knew the highway is going to be horrible so I am just logging into the office from home.

I agree with the snowball being a bad idea, yea its seems stupid, again more details could make it more reasonable, but say your driving in your car and someone nails it with a snowball, you would react, possibly causing an accident.
As long as no accident occurred a fine is more reasonable, but whatever...

I've been nailed a few times by kids with snowballs on the road while living in NJ. It's really not some horrible experience that people make it out to be, more along the lines of "huh, just hit some snow." I would say the unexpected potholes around here that surprise you at night are as much of a danger to your concentration.

Here's a tip - don't throw things at other people - it's a battery if it's against their person and it's throwing a missile at an occupied vehicle if it's against their car. These must be the kids who had to keep being told to keep their hands to themselves in kindergarten. I hope they get felony convictions out of this. |
