New Wheels very rough

So i got rid of my super ghetto RTW wheels and traded them even trade for some bmw oem style 68 wheels! Front is 225 rear 245. Now my delima is, the ride is so much stiffer, or more acurately harsh than before. Whats going on? I inspected the tires and they are not great but have a little tread left. Could someone help?

What diameter were the old wheels? If you went up in size this would explain the harsher ride. A decreased sidewall creates a harsher ride.

Sidewall is the same on both wheels. Wheel diameter for the old one were 17 all around wrapped in 225 all the way around as well. These new wheels are 17s with 225 front and 245 rear. Road noise is fairly quiet except for going over bumps, its loud. Plus, i stay in southwest houston. Theres very bad roads here.

Which tire model exactly did you go to? And do you know what the weights are on the old wheels versus the new wheels?

Sidewall stiffness, compound, and curvature are both different. These are the reasons why you are feeling a difference. Most Falken's, besides the RT615's run pretty round and have soft sidewalls compared to Bridgestones.

Unless you have a bent wheel, which cause a shake not a harsh ride, it has to be the tires. They could have uneven wear, run your hands along the tire especially the inside edge and see if it feels even.
