We have this sterotype because so many new E30 owners were preppy, yuppie scumbags!!! The media even perpetuated the sterotype!!!

Audi's cars come out YEARS after comparable BMW cars (M3 / RS5), and then they talk about superiority

BMW and Audi both need to watch out because the Mitsubishi Lancer is "the sportscar that's into WHATEVER you're into"... I think we have a winner!!!! I posted this to show just how obsurd Audi's ad campagn is, any Madison Ave ad company can come up with a good line of BS for any car, backing it up is an entirely different story! If you read the Car and Driver tests you will see that these were done with the top of the line S4 VS MID-LEVEL BMWs, HARDLY FAIR!!! Let Car and Driver put an A4 up against an M3 and see who wins!

Haha thats so true just like China is the fastest growing Economy right now but thats because they sucked for so long and are now catching up because other countries like the United States paved the way for them and they are basically just copying what those countries did but they still wont catch up for a long long time.

BMW will always be the measurement stick for these car companies like Audi and infiniti's g35/37.

Was with a friend at Bahama Breeze in Tampa a few years ago talking with 2 women, when one of them asked what we drove I asked her what that has to do with getting to know each other???? They drifted away a short time later and we did not see them again until we were getting into our Vipers that where parked by the door (the valet at BB always let us park our cars there). The one who asked what we drove walked over, got in my face, and with a pissy attitude asked me why I didn't let them know that we drove Vipers, and that they where admiring them on the way in. I repeated my answer from the first time she asked what we drove!!!
There have been several times that women I have spoken with in a club have come over upon seeing the Viper and tried to restrike up a conversation or ask for a ride, I make it a point to snub them, because this is a CLASSIC golddigger move.

haha yea, but seriously if it came down to it i'd much rather have a new m5/6 over an r8 anyday.

I had a 2001 Audi S4, it was the best/worst car I have ever owned. when it was running it was great, but the car spent more time in the shop than on the road. Now I have a 2005 BMW M3 and I will NEVER buy another Audi, its a jetta with different lights and leather...BMW > Audi all day long

that was a pretty decent commercial. Audi taking a stab at ferrari is just stupid though and they should forfeit the crack pipe. I think some of these comments are hilarious. For one Audi doesn't handle better then BMW. I'm sorry their all wheel drive, although one of the best and they are pioneers of is not exactly race tuned. Ive driven a couple and they have too much noticeable under steer. And to the maintenance, yes BMW's blow subframe mounts but its generally from abuse, Audi's love to blow transmissions. I know shop oners, audi fanatics and personal friends who have gone through tranny's an audi's. Currently my friends dad is on number three, and he doesn't beat the car. Audi's auto's are okay tho. As far as being a better daily driver I can believe that, having awd is nice, I believe they are quiet and that their radio is hella loud and newer audi interior>newer bimmer interior. Older bimmer interior>older audi tho.

It's still funny to me though

You know.. every time I look at the design of the R8, it gets uglier and uglier.
And that's too bad for Audi because that's the only Audi I have ever liked.

Considering the RS4 is closer to the M3 power wise, why wouldn't they compare the S4 to the 335i?

The M3 is a class leading machine, however, Audi have done their homework.
